We voted against amendment 47; where a fetus would be considered a person at moment of conseption, but voted to ban gay marriage.

Jessica, that amendment is worse than just banning gay marriage. It also will not recognize any equivalent to marriage. Including domestic partnerships and civil unions. It was a bitter hate filled amendment.

And it was not just Republicans who supported it, there are bitter hate filled people of all political persuasions that let their religious views strip rights away from others.

Also if you want to see what the parties stand for, look at their party platforms they put together at the national conventions. since those are the official views of the "party"
