I love that last line and I love that they found a way to make this new power "fit" into their lives. Love Sage too, and all the twists and turns in the story.
I am really glad you liked it and that the trials the boys go through worked for you! Thanks for the comment! Also? Thanks so much for running this challenge!
That was a great read! I loved both the "case" part, with Clayton (what a creepy psychopath!) and Dean's powers and the "people" part, with Sage's interractions with Dean and Sam's being scared of Dean leaving him.
I've often read about the fact that Dean would be a great parent, while Sam would be awkward around kids but I've rarely seen it so nicely shown with little every day examples.
I am super incredibly late in reading this, but I couldn't just run along after reading this. Really I couldn't.
So, instead I plunked down to write this review type thing. I don't usually like kids!fics. I often given them a chance and usually end up dropping out within a few paragraphs of story. But with this, I was enthralled I loved the relationship between Sage and Dean, but I also liked how Sam and Sage were by the end. Sam actually grew in this story along with Dean.
Also I adore your Ruby. I have a soft spot of that woman even if I don't like it sometimes, and you wrote her well. I'd like to see how this 'verse goes differently from the original.
And Castiel. From the brief moments that he was in this fiction, he was spot on and done well.
