I can't believe Gossip Girl's over after six of my formative years. Come and talk to me about it! And while you're at it, work through your feels at the Gossip Girl ficathon. By which I mean, someone write the plethora of Jack/Georgina, bb!Henry, and Vanessa/Nate I am about to prompt. Gossip Girl never dies, after all.

It's so weird how I grew to dislike so much of this show but I still feel so attached to it. I still feel so wrapped up in all the characters and this fandom has basically been my "home" for six years. And even though half the finale was totally stupid I still enjoyed it somehow? It was ridiculous but it worked for me and it ended...how I thought it would, I guess. I'm both happy and sad that it's over, lol. And I have no idea how to let goooo of it, idk how to even be a part of another fandom the way I've been a part of this one.

I feel the same exact way. And, not to be presumptuous, but I found my footing as a fanfiction writer within the Gossip Girl fandom with both you and margottenenbaum and daedreemer all the way back on ff.net and I've never had that with any other fandom. I just care so much about everyone, even now, that it truly feels like the end of an era. It ended the way I thought it would too, and in my headcanon it leaves the space for Vanessa and Nate to meet up and fall in love and have ethnically ambiguous babies and be happy and crazy in love, so I'm thankful for that if nothing else.
