I actually enjoyed it. Which is surprising because a) I want Matthew Lewis to be my boyfriend and actually shipping Ginny/Neville would kind of interfere? and b) eh - [spoilers]

OHHHHKAY I understand your spoilers comment now. Since that's canon now in the movie verse
I feel waaaay less enthusiastic about Neville/Ginny even though I still really love them.

Ordinarily I'd be like "Inserted couple?!?!??!" but she is sooooo adorable in the movies. PS this quote does it not delight your soul:

"Matt and I, are somewhat like partners in crime. Whenever we finish our scenes first, while the others are doing theirs, we kind of hide in opposite corners of the set and roll bagels to each other , and then no one realizes it because they’re so busy acting. Matt and I run away before anyone can catch us and then when they play the scene back they see a couple of bagels happily rolling across the set."

I might have to reread to really see the Neville/Ginny... I don't know the later books as well as the earlier ones so I don't have as solid a grasp on Neville's arc, I think sometimes.

Here from nevilleginny, and I just loved this! The structure was very cool (I love stories with interesting structures, and going backwards is a favourite device of mine!), and both characters were beautiful. I like that you didn't have to spell out why Ginny chose Harry; it was nicely obvious that they really didn't have a choice, that it was what everyone else expected, and how could she turn him down? Her disappointment in her life was so painful, and Neville's quiet heartache very real. Loved it!
