ACK! I totally meant to email you to pick up the US Weekly with them! Ah well, at least there were pretty pictures to look at...
I'm at about 8500 right now...I'm just getting jealous every time I look at the big community, and people are throwing these 30k figures around...
GHTTG was pretty delightful, even though I could have done with a bit less vomit. I really want another movie where *all* of the guys get together again (or at least Jason, Seth, Jonah and Paul Rudd).
Oh man I agree with you. Any chance of getting that Jason Segel/Kristen Bell rpf fic as a palate cleanser? Pretty pretty pleaaaaaase.
I'm just really losing steam I think. And since my story is basically a bunch of smaller stories with similar themes I just feel blahhhhh about it right now. I think I just burned myself out since I wrote like 6k in the first two weeks and now I need a cleanse. Hence the X-Men fic.
Yes, I desperately want to write Jason/Kristen fic...but that will probably be coming a bit later on this summer. So far, I'm plugging along slowly and surely with my BB, and am just getting into the plotty part. It's actually getting easier at this point (pls don't hate me...)
If I'm moving along at more or less the schedule I've kept....I should be finished with first draft by the mandatory checkpoint, and then that would be a lovely palate cleanser. I also think I should just go buy the FSM dvd so I can see them giggling with each other a bit more and her jumping on his head. That literally took up like three weeks of my life.
re: big bang. Thanks! I'll probably take you up on that when I have a little more stuff. Right now it's all angst and porn, so I need some meat and potatoes to go with the dessert probably. Sigh. Wish I could just write angst and porn forever.
About GHTTG - it definitely took all the realism/slight satire of Forgetting Sarah Marshall and blew it out of this universe into complete farce. I laughed a lot, but mostly I really loved the last five minutes with Russell Brand actually acting like this sad, depressed guy. Plus the soundtrack was hilarious and he actually has a pretty great rock star voice.
I really, really like this. Especially since I can easily seeing something along these lines happening on the show. I know it isn't going to be easy, but I totally want them together! Let's hope it happens.

I think I am the only one in the world who didn't like GHTTG. Which is weird because I like everyone in it!
Prompt: Caleb/Hanna, what happens next?
