EDIT: Also, I love that Hallelujah is here. I've always associated them with that song~

And Viva la Vida has always screamed 'Prussia' at me when I listened to it after getting into Hetalia... Spoooooky.
Thank you for this. I'm always interested in fanmixes to discover new music. :D

I kept finding songs that worked well for them, but I couldn't use them all, otherwise there'd have been like thirty songs :|
But those two you mentioned were always going to have to be on it! :)

I find bucketloads of songs for UsUk. I have a huge playlist for them...
Maybe you can do a second fanmix, share the others too? Eventually, whenever you want.
Oh yes! I don't think you can more Prusstrian than Hallelujah. *cries all over that song*

"I cannot live with you / it would be life/ and life is over there"
wahhh. Emily Dickinson tells it like it's troubled nation-love. lol. love it.... may i ask who the readers are or where you found these recordings? do you collect and listen to poetry recordings or did you seek these out purely for the album?
thanks so much for making this and sharing!

Yep, Emily Dickinson is fantastic, one of my favourite poets.
Readers-wise, I believe it is Auden himself reading his poem but I could be wrong...the Shakespeare sonnet I have absolutely no idea, sorry! As for the Dickinson, it's read by Julie Harris.
I don't really "collect" poetry recordings as such, but if I hear a particularly good one I'll download it. :)
