Thanks. Rhys really is a huge mess, but he sort of needs Gilly, or needs someone who feels alive and has that niceness and innocent and cares about Rhys. I'm not even sure how Gilly feels about Rhys, but I have always wondered exactly why he puts up with Rhys (besides him wanting to be part of the Ashworth family).

I might write another story on this. Do you think there's enough material?

You have no idea how much I truly love this pairing. Rhys/Gilly and Max/OB are my favourite Hollyoaks slash pairings.

I think you wrote both characters very well. Rhys acted like a git (as he often does on the show), and even though I felt a bit sorry for him, I kind of wanted to kick him in crotch for being mean to Gilly. I feel that way about him a lot when watching the show. XD

There's one little thing that niggled at me though. The line where it says Gilly has deep brown eyes. 'Cause they're actually blue. Not a huge mistake, I know, but I thought it'd be worth pointing out? *shrug*

Anyway, I really enjoyed reading this, it's well written. I'll be sure to read it again!

Yes, that was worth pointing out! I wasn't kidding about Gilly's hair falling in his eyes. I never looked closely enough to realize they were blue. Thank you.

I really appreciate your comments. I wanted to make them behave in character (especially Gilly, since I wasn't 100% sure how that would go), so to hear I have makes me feel good.

And you're a Max/OB fan too, yay!

Thanks for your comments. If I ever write another of these I hope you read that as well I appreciate your thoughts. I knew there were Rhys/Gilly fans out there, but no one's ever written them before, that I know of (if I'm wrong, I hope someone lets me see the fic, I'd enjoy reading it).

To be honest, I hadn't paid much attention to Gilly's eyes until a couple of months ago, when Hannah accused him of hurting her. At one point Gilly was so upset, almost in tears, and I suddenly noticed how pretty his eyes are! He needs to stop hiding behind his hair so much, the world needs to see those baby blues more often! :D

In my first comment I forgot to say that I think you wrote Gilly's character really well too. I especially liked this bit:
Gilly was a good kisser. Very giving. What else would Gilly ever be?

I don't know if he's a good kisser (though he probably he is, lol!), but the bit about how giving he is? That describes Gilly perfectly.

My favourite part was this though:
Instead, long arms encircled his waist. Long fingers resting on his bare midsection. Through the shaggy hair hanging over his ears, he heard Gilly's whisper.

"It's just us. Promise. No one else. I promise. Tell me. Please. Please."That was so sweet, and I could really picture it in my mind

I need to watch more football if the guys are that cute.

I don't see Rhys/Gilly as the OTP as some of the other male couples on Hollyoaks, but they do have a fascinating relationship, and Rhys does care about Gilly in his own way. I will never forget how jealous he was when Gilly was going to move to Copenhagen with a girlfriend.

Thank you for the compliments. I'm glad the part about him being a giving kisser worked. And the part about his hands around Rhys' waist. I wasn't sure how that would come across, as I didn't want it to seem too sexual.

awww! i was wondering if anyone'd ever write rhys/gilly, because it seems like such an obvious pairing.

i really like this. it's typical rhys, really, very in-character. sad, though. :(

Rhys would benefit from a good fucking: buttocks spread aside, The Gilly Entering...if ever the term, "Sit on it and rotate" ever applied to an Ashworth then it would be Rhys. If I was Gilly I'd wanna bounce his arse from Day One: Heaven knows they'd perk up as a result. They'd be the gayest thing since Craig and his cardigans. Oh JP, what did you ever see?!

Funny you mention that, as I do sort of want to write something eventually where Rhys bottoms for Gilly. Sometimes I've thought big self-proclaimed ladies man Rhys might be curious about bottoming, and Gilly would probably be a good top.
