Ouch. Am I the only one to think that "I still have Ianto and Gwen" is just so very very wrong? Granted it is the truth, but there are more... sensitive? measured? reflective? less direct? way of putting it. Hearing it said so blatantly... watch me run screaming. :p

Yeah, I don't really like that part either. I think what they're trying to say is "I could have lost everyone, it could have been worse", but whenever anyone loses anyone, no one actually thinks "oh well, at least you have ___ still". Seriously, that was a little poorly done.

Funny... I didn't think that at all. To me it just seemed like relief that his whole team hadn't been wiped out, like it was in 2000. I'm not sure how this is insensitive in any way...

Well, basically, I suppose my first thought when I saw that phrase was, if it had been Ianto and Gwen who died and Tosh and Owen were alive, would Jack say "I stlll have Tosh and Owen"? And maybe you think he would, in which case you wouldn't find the phrasing insensitive, but I didn't, so I felt it was.

Anyway enough moaning. I really love seeing how Jack and Ianto's relationship has evolved through these blogs. Don't believe me? Go and look at this.

Thanks becky, that's great. I hadn't realised before but Ianto is the only character that is mention in Every Single Entry. Cool.

Aww, this made me tear up all over again. The last line made me squee a bit, but then I just got sad again -sigh- Oh Torchwood, the things you do to me.

Also, I agree with those other comments, 'I still have Ianto and Gwen', was very poorly phrased

I love how hard BBCA ships Janto. Makes me happy.

I wonder how many 'Ianto takes Jack out' fics we're gonna get now? Not that I'm complaining, of course!

and the bit with Tosh and Owen made me feel sad again. I watched it twice fully (I think the only amount I can watch it fully) and balled both times.
