I rewatched the highlights from that episode like ten times last night around 3am my time.

I just had too, because when you get right down to it, wouldn't you like to play naked hide and seek with the boys?

omg i feel like a completely disloyal fan but what episodes did hockey sticks and measuring tape crop up in?!

measuring tape 2x05 "Adam" Jack makes mention of it after presumably reading Ianto's diary "for the record, measuring tape never lies"

And in 2x02 "Sleeper" the PC wonders why anyone would keep sports equipment under the bed. Jacks replies, "You should come by my place sometime"
THEN in 2x07 when the resurection glove is wreaking havoc Ianto brings out a field hockey stick as defense and Jack gives him a "look"

Coming further out of lurkdom to say I was telling a friend - I totally get the scene in Meat now. You know the bit where Jack is in the hot house staring down at his boyfriend.

Please tell me I'm not the only one connecting the "naked hide and seek" with the "lots of things you can do with a stopwatch" and the idea of forfeits for the one who takes the longest to "seek"!
