I had my first workshop of my graduate career.  It went well.  They liked my story.  A lot.  And the only issues people found were ones that I knew it had and some of them were kind of purposeful.  Which is a danger when you experiment with story structure and expectation.  I am content.  Except now I need to write another new story in the next ( Read more... )

Congrats on taking on this adventure.Thanks for posting the pics. Here's a standard writer's question for ya: Do you favor any particular time of day for writing? Editing?

I prefer to write in all-day binges. Breakfast, write until lunch, then write again till dinner, maybe write more after dinner. I don't like to stop until I'm either done (short story) or at a good stopping point (end of a chapter.)

Karen Halttunen's book or did she write an article out of it? I used it a lot in my undergrad thesis.
