She's fine.

Now my brother Carl has a brain tumor - maybe. We are not quite sure if it is a tumor or a cyst. We are sitting in the hospital icu waiting for a doctor to tell us what it is and whether or not it ( Read more... )

I do hope that all turns out well for your brother and your family. It's traumatic to deal with at any level. But it's very good news about your sister-in-law. May fate smile twice.

It's mostly good news about my sister-in-law. She was in a car accident 15 years ago so they think that the weird thing her eyes were doing that usually indicates a brain tumor is probably related to that. The ringing in her ears is something she's just going to be stuck with.

But, since she is the primary care giver for my other brother who has MS and COPD, we are really glad that there is no imminent death or long term care necessary.

Also, we really like Elaine and don't want any horrible misfortunes to befall her.

Sorry! I'm just TMIing all over the place today.

No need for apologies. With all that's going on, it sounds like you are holding up remarkably well in an incredibly stressful time.

TMI for TMI. *g* Several years ago, my sister-in-law Danni was having vision problems - she thought maybe glaucoma. It turned out to be a brain tumor affecting her vision. She had surgery, the tumor was deemed malignant, and she underwent six weeks of daily radiation treatments.

It was a very difficult time for all, especially Danni - that goes without saying. But she's been cancer free ever since and has now passed the five year survival marker with no sign of reoccurence.

If your brother does face a cancer diagnosis, I hope he also has such an ultimately positive outcome.
