Deadwood

I finished Deadwood late last night, and what I'd heard was true: it doesn't end so much as just... stop. Oddly enough, though, I'm kind of okay with that. Oh Deadwood was such a great show, but I never really got into the fandom for it. Mainly because Seth and Alma was over before it got started and I had this weird flirtation with Al/Trixie that sort of disturbs me to this day.

You should so watch Legend of the Seeker because it is like Xena with the crack! meter turned way up!

"I had this weird flirtation with Al/Trixie."

Oh my god. I thought I was the only one. I was kind of disturbed at myself because that's an abusive relationship (and not like the fun TR way where it's on both sides) and that would normally not be my thing at all. But I'm glad to hear you were afflicted too. ;)

Seriously, I feel so much better to hear that!! That ship was in so many of my 'no' categories. The worst part is, I had actively disliked Star/Trixie because of Al/Trixie and I love Sol.

You sound like you're having a good old time! Do you have your cocoa or tea in front of you, with jammies on and dog in lap? :)

You know, the way you put it, that's the first time I've ever felt semi-okay about the way the show ended. It was *so* realistic, that it's easy to accept that the story just ended, not the characters. And that's oddly comforting.

Oooh, and thanks for those fic recs! And yay; you've started Rome! Now you can join in the epic Atia love.
