HEE!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is cracktastic!!!, but in the best possible way!!!

Um... how can I not get excited when you keep feeding me self aware TR and insights into Madeline's mind?!?! I nearly died from laughter reading her thoughts during the Tower scene!

"And besides," she adds with a wry smile, "they're insulting our intelligence; we may as well insult theirs.".

Best.Line.Ever. No, seriously, I mean, in that one line you summarize up RoboNikita, Sex Police, Super Secret Mole Nikita, and everything else that makes my head hurt during S4!

Just a suggestion, but you should totally put this up at lfn_fanfiction, if you haven't already. I think that a lot of people would love to read this.

I couldn't help myself with that line. The only way I could make sense of the whole thing was for them to know that it didn't make sense the entire time. Lol.

I suspect Madeline is not nearly so chatty inside her own head as she is when I write her, but... whatever. Lol. *hugs crack label with pride*

I honestly hadn't considered posting it to the comm at first because I was pretty sure I would be the only one who found it even remotely amusing, let alone interesting. Lol. But you and jaybee65 seem to like it, so... shall go post. Lol.

You. Are. A. GENIUS.

A genius, I tell you! This rationale actually works! I think I just fell in love with your brain.

Also, I'm really enjoying how humorous your writing style is -- it's genuinely (even occasionally laugh-out-loud) funny, without being parody at all.

Have you linked this on the LFN Fic Comm? If not, you really should.

*blushes profusely* Thank you! Once this idea attacked my muse, I couldn't quite let it go. Lol. It was the only way I could figure for it to have made sense. *shakes head at season four writers*

The ironic thing? In fandoms that work well with humor, I fail at it so hard. This fandom is all death and torture and angst, and my muse has found her inner comedian. *shakes head at self, too*

I haven't linked it to the comm yet - I honestly didn't think anyone else would even like this. Lol. But am going to link it now. I'd honestly not thought anyone would read this thing except, well, me--let alone enjoy it. Apparently crack can work in can fandom - who knew? :p

Link now, if you haven't already.

And go post on one of the storyboards -- there are people who still read there and not at lj.

This is even more fun than the previous chapter, in part because of the balance of serious and ridiculous. Which is what Madeline is fretting about in the first place. Very tricky stuff!

This

despite the combined efforts of the terrorists of the world, various Center and Oversight idiots, and the occasional traitorous operative.

made me think of a bad hair day, and this

Naked, some of the effect is lost.

just made me giggle, but this

"they're insulting our intelligence; we may as well insult theirs."

as everyone else has commented, is dead on. Ten words to summarize the arc in the series as well as the carelessness of TPTB in general -- just brilliant.

:D Thank you so much! This whole arc of the season was just... ugh. I seriously don't know what the writers were thinking.

I did link to the LJ, but am not sure where to even find the storyboards. Could you point me in the right direction? (Also, does this mean there's LFN fic out there I've not read?! 'Cause, um... the next update might be a few days in coming, if that's the case. :D)

I looove this. It's in-character, but totally hilarious. And it soothes my brain to think that they did realize how ridiculous the whole scenario was, and even better, they had a *reason* for it. Great job! (And I third the requests to post it at the LFN fic comm, if you haven't already.)

Thank you!! :D Seriously, considering the sex police arc made my brain ache. I either had to rationalize it using super!sekrit plot-type plot or stop rewatching the series. Lol. *kicks season four writers*

I've just read both chapters and they're marvelous, and made me giggle and snicker with glee! (And I found them through the Section One com -- so I'm glad you decided to use it!).

I can't wait to read what comes next, because yes, what great sense of the stupidity you're setting up here.

This is so fun! And the kind of behind-the-scenes fic I love. And I personally love anything written in the Tower so you had me from there. :-)

And she has; it's part of what Madeline cannot stand about Nikita. She has potential, she has the ability to be great. The fact that she refuses to live up to that is irritating at best, and though up until now, Madeline has continued to prod Nikita toward growing into what she could be, Nikita's proven time and again that she will, ultimately, self-destruct.
I really liked these insights too. It's exactly what I'd think Madeline thought of Nikita. So fun to get a peek inside Madeline's head!
