Author's Note: Some of you will recognize part of this first chapter as a drabble that was posted on my LJ a few weeks ago; it's been, um, expanded. Despite first appearances, this story is part of the Off-Label Uses for the Gelman Process universe, falling just after Everyone Feels Broken Sometimes, though this story is somewhat lacking in the humor department and significantly heavier on the drama, action, angst and mindfucks. Summary is for the story overall, but it shall take us a bit of time to get there. Forgive me? Also, I was in a song-lyric-and-poetry mood when naming these chapters, so full disclaimers can be found on this page. *rolls eyes at self* BTW, when reading this story, it'll help if you keep 'Down a Crooked Path' in mind. ;)
