This is the most awesome gift EVVA!!

The earlier sensations, suddenly lurched and twisted. Swirled, drawing down, and coiling in his gut. Dean stopped. Vision blurred, the room tilted but his legs held, locked at the knees.

Without warning the coil of heat exploded. The force rocked him back a step. Deep inside, the angry, hot needles of pain shot out, splintering, angling out in every direction under his skin.

Shaking, Dean bit his tongue, tasting blood as he fought to silence the curse of pain and surprise.

Then, the hot coil became an enormous surge of heat. It knifed through his insides, the intensity excruciating. The edge quickly spreading. Soon it undulated like waves of molten lave crashing beneath flesh and muscle.

I LOVED this part! The description of how the gift manifests itself, Dean's reaction to it, not quite understanding what that was and where it is leading... just awesome!

*glomps* Work on chapter 6 went quite well tonight. If it snows or if the roads are icy tomorrow I will spend yet another day at home. It will seriously suck at payday, but... *shrug* it's been a most unusual week, no?

LOL.. Yea, it's just much more fun putting them (for me, mainly Dean) through the ringer. Though I imagine I'd've gone loony a long time ago if I'd been through even a quarter of what these guys've been through.

I guess that, as much as fandom disapproves how John raised the boys, we gotta appreciate that the training gave them not only the physical means for survival, but the mental.
