ugh!

I just joined and I was wondering if anyone could give me some help on something. I was painting on a stencil for The Adicts on the back of my jacket, and I used too much paint and the whole thing turned out awful and sloppy. I had to wipe it off and now there's a big white streak of paint across the top of my jacket. Should I just put a big patch ( Read more... )

I've always had a lot of success with just painting over mistakes with black. Most of the time, depending on the grain of the leather, it won't even show at all that there's black paint down. And then you have a fresh canvas.

I was thinking about that. Fortunately I have some black paint handy. I actually just got an old shirt and wiped the paint off. It didn't seem to do any damage to the jacket. I'll probably just try again later

Right on.

Next time you use a stencil, try just rough outlines at first and fill in the details by hand. It's much easier that way.
