Jello's doing his spoken word, right? He came to Noho a number of years ago and I didn't get to see him. Have fun! I'm kind of jealous -- the dead kennedys and operation ivy were my first introduction to real punk rock back when I was 12 or 13.

I'm not sure what he's going to perform or how. I got an email from a friend saying "You should come to this concert, it's going to be really good" and figured, hey, why not?

...when did you start listening to (and enjoying!) the Dead Kennedys!? They just don't seem like your usual type of music.

Last week, when Tim told me that Jello Biafra had been their lead singer. I've listened to a couple of their songs via YouTube, they sound pretty good.

I heard Dead Kennedys' "Holiday in Cambodia" in a goth club the other night. Out of place, yes; awesome, also yes.

Also, I associate Jello Biafra with the following phrase: PLAAAASTIC JESUS...PLASTIC JESUS! (Riding on the dashboard of my car.)

Got to be in the presence of Jello Biafra a little bit during this film thing in Jersey a couple of years ago, and the dude is awesome.
