Pondering the AWE Trailer
brylyn1979 has made 245 HD screencaps of the AWE trailer.
There are only two captures that are definitely Norrington:
One thing caught my eye, though:
At around 1:29 (in the Yahoo! trailer)- On the right-hand side of the screen, you can see a man in a blue and gold uniform fighting in the background. It’s too blurry to see who it is (although the image is a little clearer in the actual trailer than you can see in this cap). I’m going to go into fangirl-denial and say it’s Norrington. Considering there haven’t been any rumors of Will and James being in the same fight scene together, this gives me hope for James’s fate.
Also, like a lot of people, I’ve noticed there have been a lot of photos released of Jack, Elizabeth, and Barbossa together, with Will *missing*, including everything at the Pirates Council (or whatever it’s called). I have this entire theory (based on no evidence whatsoever, of course), that Will’s not there, because he and James are off having a B-plot adventure with copious snark and HoYay. That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it.
