Summary: Dr. Weir's thoughts during the debriefing.
"Send in whoever is next, please." I say, shifting in my seat. This is getting to be tedious, having to put these innocent Athosians on the spot, and 'interview' them about being Wraith spies. They can't be, they're a good people, whose lives have been completely turned around because of those creatures. The fact that one of them would be responsible for contacting the Wraith on every mission that this base goes on is ridiculous. But there must be an explanation and if one of these people is lying to us, and Teyla doesn't really know them as well as she believes, then I have to find out. No one else will do it, so it's up to me. Sometimes it is tough being in charge. Someone walks into the room and I look up to see who it is, then smile, moving to stand. "Teyla." I stand up. "I wasn't expecting you." And that's a really cute outfit.
"I was surprised to be left off your list." Teyla responds calmly.
"I didn't feel that it was necessary in your case." I nod my head and smile. I trust you enough Teyla. I know you haven't done anything wrong; you can't be responsible for your people's actions.
Teyla moves to sit down. "On the contrary." She says matter-of-factly as she sits down. "You should have spoken to me first." She says plainly.
I sit down as well, as Sergeant Bates gives Teyla a dirty look. I think secretly he's jealous of her beauty, and he really likes her. "You're right." I say, scooting my chair in. "I should have." I nod my head at her and pull a serious face, realizing my little mistake.
"I can tell you anything you need to know about my people." Teyla says putting all her trust in them by just saying those words.
I only hope it will prove your innocence, I think to myself right before Bates starts accusing her about the situation.
