Oh dang! I read about it on the RFT blarg a week or two ago. The surprise guest was widely rumored to be Nelly, and turns out it was!

Did you watch it from inside Kiener? I saw that they had the whole area fenced off.

Yeah I was inside...you had to get (free) tickets in advance to be let in. They were being kinda strict about it...but I reckon you could hear, and probably from certain points see, the concert just fine outside the fence.

Yeah, I've had a bird's eye view of Kiener from my office for five years and I've never seen them do anything like that. It must have been a logistical nightmare.
