According to Sean O'Leary, the editor who contacted me, my story, Lost In Darkness, is slated for Semptember, for their second issue of the year. They'll be sending me a contract for it when it comes time for prepping the issue - I'm guessing that will be sometime in the summer. Lore, a magazine I submitted an original fantasy to, wants to publish my story. They pay what the SFWA considers a pro rate and published Harlan Ellison in their first issue.

F&SF has retained its usual quick response time when it comes to stories that don't get pass the slush reader.

It getting reject was not a surprise, but I thought my story had been good enough to get passed the first reader. I guess not.

I did my final revision on an original story and plan on trying to get it published. The first market I'm approaching will be The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction.

But, after reading my final version, I'm wondering if I should even bother....

Wrote over 1600 words at work today, almost 2000 words total these past two days.

I haven't been this productive writing-wise in a long time.
