why the heck is there such a long wait for early voting???

I think that part of it is that Orlando is a much more concentrated area than Sarasota. But also there is a huge voter turnout. I just tried to find some actual figures on the projected percentage of voter turnout but I couldn't (a lady this morning told me it is 85% but I can't imagine that's right). In the 2004 election I voted on Election Day and I only waited like 15 minutes.
