Wow, only twelve? It was so easy to forget just how young they were during this story.

twelve is so young. And he was even younger for most of it. I can't imagine going through that so young.

Great little insight into Jared's head.
It's a bit heart-breaking to see how he wants to tell everything that's on his mind and how much he's really got to say, without being able to do so. But also thrilling to know that he'll eventually overcome his muteness.
