Firsts

2010 has been a year of firsts for me.
I took a year-long course about sheep and fibre (sort of a 'shephardry lite' class.) I learned about sheep diseases, breeding, lambing, shearing, herding, and fibre prep. I got to hold and feed a tiny baby lamb. I herded a grumpy ewe from the field to the barn without a dog or a halter. I loved it immensely and ( Read more... )

Thank you! We're doing very well now that we've discovered how to function on a minimal amount of sleep. (It's not that bad, actually... For the time she was born, Amelia would happily sleep for four hours at a time over night.)

What did I do in 2010 that I'd never done before?

Nommed wee little Amelia hands and cheek due to her being teh cute of all cute ♥

For 2011, I look forward to:

• More baby noms. I hear toes are particularly tasty.
• Kidnapping you for the promised massage.
• Learning more SAS and STATA-y goodness.
• Poking about and investigating PhD options.
• A summer that doesn't involve 2 am work phone calls.
• Generally being sloppy happy with life.

I had no idea about the baby, congrats! It does get somewhat eaier, she will sleep through the night but she will also get heavier and harder to carry so that's a trade off.

Some people have easy births, otheers spend three days in labor and never dilate past 3 cm. (that would be me).

We have to discuss the nuts and bolts of brewing, someday. By "discuss" I mean "Sel lectures j00, because she has no clue how the process works at all." Designing your own beer is awesome, though! I hope it turns out well.

We miss you and Lauren. And Cobi. (I have yet to meet Ommegang. He looks very hugable, though.)

Congrads on the baby-hatching! I wish you luck, love, and SLEEP.

I don't think we're connected via Facebook, but that's ok cuz I only check that blasted site like twice a month.
