I have heard the legend of this "free High Holidays tickets" thing many times, but never thought I'd actually experience it. --Then again, I live upwards of three hours from a major city in any direction, and my synagogue is the only active one in the county. Maybe that has something to do with it. But yes, this was a very pleasant surprise!

You know, even I'm thinking of observing Yom this year. Which says something. But it's been almost 20 years since I did anything for it & all I remember is "DON'T EAT."
