Room 406, Thursday afternoon

Mar 02, 2006 13:40

After going to the gym and then getting annoyed with Cam, Isabel returned to her room and attempted to study for her US Government midterm. She only had to stop occasionally to wipe her eyes.

[Door's open, it might be a bit slow because I'm baking cookies.]

xander, lana, 406, wackiness, janet, woe

Isabel banged her head against her government book.

Janet nodded. "I know what you mean." She held up her left hand, which had a surgical glove stuck over it, and her right hand, which still had her pen stuck to it. She looked a bit frustrated with her predicament. "Any evidence of lame supervillains yet?"

"Nope, no lame supervillains, just lame jokes on how to stop it." Isabel said, as she rolled her eyes.

"And of course that's just what you need right now," said Janet. She came in and sat down, then sighed. "Professor Skeeter 'accidentally' dissolved my sleeve when she was trying to get stuff unstuck from my hands."

"The sad thing is, if I wasn't so frustrated with the whole situation, I probably could have had fun with the lame joke." She grinned wryly, "Cam half offered to sit on me to stop the bouncing. I should have said yes, just to see if he would have done it or flailed about in embarrassement."

"Accidentaly or accidentally on purpose?"

Janet grinned. "Who ever sees the humor in their own problems?" she asked. "You never know, maybe it would really have stopped the bouncing. Just take him up on it later when someone has a camera around to take pictures at the look on his face."

"You never really know with her," said Janet. "I suspect the latter."

Isabel snickered. "Now that would be interesting. If it did work, I'd have to stand up in each class looking for a volunteer to sit on me for the period."

"I've never met the woman but she scares me for some reason. She just doesn't sound nice at all."

[ooc: dinner time! I'll be back after 7ish]

"That might be kind of fun to see," said Janet, giggling. "We could draw names from a hat in Western Civ and have Dr. Pierson threaten them if they won't help."

"She's a horrible person," said Janet. "But she doesn't scare me. She's got no frustration tolerance at all, so I just keep asking her annoying questions in class."

OOC: Home from work and about to make dinner myself. See you around 7:30 CST!

Isabel grinned, and tried to think of a way to fix the drawing. There were certainly some people she'd prefer sitting on her then others. "He does have the scary bit down," Isabel agreed. "I know you and Parker seem to think he's a pussy cat, but I'm intimidated."

"Well just as long as she doesn't start turning you into a small animal. Or is that something special she does just for John?'

"He's really a pussy cat," said Janet. "You didn't work in the library with him all last semester. And by 'work' I mean, 'he flirted with his paramours and we made him make decisions when we needed someone official to take the blame.'" She laughed again. "Seriously, if you ever need something from Dr. Pierson, talk to us. Parker, Zero and I will gang up on him. It'll be just like old times."

"His paramours? Plural?" Isabel asked. "Should I ask or will it scar me for life? He's the chaperone for the spring break trip isn't he? That should be interesting."

"He is?" asked Janet. She snickered. "Oh, are they sending someone else responsible along too? And for a while there he was dating the Quantum Physics teacher and the Speech teacher. Simultaneously. I think he still is."

"That's what Parker said. I'm pretty sure that there's going to be a few other chaperones. I just don't know who," she shrugged. "I haven't been too involved with the trip because I'm not going on it. I think I'm going to hang around and relax for the week. Although I do have the trip to Baltimore arranged."

"Wait! He's with Prof. Cregg? No way!" Isabel laughed, "That's just way too much TMI about my teachers."

"Baltimore?" asked Janet. "That sounds like fun. What activities are planned?"

Janet nodded. "They used to make out in the stacks. That was too much TMI, when we caught them at it."

"The Aquarium, the zoo, the science museum, plus there's always shopping at the Gallery or the Market. Plus if the weather is nice, I might try to take a walk by Poe's grave. That would be interesting to see." Isabel frowned, "I really need to get some posters up though."

"You know, now that you've told me, suddenly the message I got the day the phones were screwed up makes more sense. And now I'm getting mental pictures I really didn't need." She rubbed her eyes. "If I crack up in class on Tuesday, I'm blaming you."
