Dawn yawned her way directly to a cup of coffee and felt only the slightest twinge of guilt about not calling her father for Father's Day. It probably would have been worse if she'd actually ever met the man or knew where he was.
She sat down with a large plate of food and began eating quietly.

It had been kind of an overwhelming two days, so Karal was relieved to come downstairs and find a lack of formidable Mother Petrellis at the breakfast table.
He voiced a quiet, "Good morning," then helped himself to breakfast and a seat, happy to enjoy a touch of quiet time.

Dawn had never been on the subway before either, so she was checking the map pretty frequently. "Okay, I've smelled demons that smelled better than this," she muttered.

Karal was hanging on very tightly to a pole, and trying not to look out the windows. "I can not credit that people gave up horses in favour of this," he said.
