Still beyond pleased that they actually were able to pull it off, Isabel returned from Rikku's and made a phone call. Then she opened up her laptop and started tracking down spoilers for the season finales of all her favorite shows.

Jack had just missed Isabel's call, mostly because he was under the desk. But once he got her message he dropped everything and ran upstairs to check on her.

Or just to avoid the damn desk, which he was beginning to think was taunting him.

Either way, he was now leaning in her doorway and knocking on the wall. "It all worked and you're fine?"

Isabel put aside the laptop and smiled. "It all worked and I'm fine. I promise. I think I'm still in shock that it did work so well."

"Excellent. And I'm kinda happy you didn't tell me before you started, because I just would have worried," he said, walking over to sit next to her.

"Honestly I didn't expect it to work, so I didn't see a reason to call," she admitted, leaning into his side automatically. "But it did and we got Rikku's friend back. She's so happy."
