A week that had included library duty, a night out at Caritas, movies with a friend, exams, and plotting a rescue mission meant that Isabel was pretty damn tired when she went to bed on Friday night. Unfortunately the conversation with Rikku brought memories and Isabel didn't actually get into a deep sleep until some time just before dawn. She

"Yeah!" He pointed straight up. "I could take you! I fly good! I'm a snitch...person!"

As much as Isabel would like to go flying? She's not going when Cedric is five. She can wait and not risk life or limb. "I don't think so. I'm not very brave when it comes to going up very high."

Wrinkling her nose, she wondered if some breaking and entering and grand theft broom would be needed until things were back to normal. "Have you been flying for a long time?"

"I am five," he told her in a voice that said she was dumb for asking that. "Six soon!"

Isabel snickered, already thinking about how she could tease him when this wore off. "Soon? You're going to have a birthday soon? Will you have cake?"

"Of course," he said happily. "A chocolate one!"

"There are other kinds of cake?" she asked, faking surprise. "I thought all cakes were chocolate."

"I've seen lellow cakes before," he explained.

Isabel made a face. "I bet they're yucky."

"They are," he agreed with a firm nod. "No ones should eat them."

And he ate some more chocolate.

"Can I take your picture?" she asked, reaching for the camera.

[chasingsnitches]

"Yeah!" He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and smiled.

Isabel snapped a quick picture and then waved him over. "Come here, I'll take one of both of us." It'll go with the pictures she'd just gotten in of Cedric with the pink hair.

He bounced over and slung an arm around her neck. "Good?"

Giggling at the bouncing, Isabel held out the camera at arms length. "Perfect. Say cheese!"

"Cheese!" She was nice and, even though he didn't know why, he said cheese anyway.

[izzyalienqueen]

"I'll get these developed and show them to you next week," she promised. "I bet you're going to love them."
