Room 406, Friday morning through afternoon

It had been a long, wet walk back up from the causeway and Isabel was grateful to get out of the rain by the time the reached the dorms. Her key was gone, left somewhere back on Antar, so she used her powers to open the door. Stepping inside the room, Isabel looked around and blinked a lot, not quite able to believe she was really back.

Isabel took a seat on the edge of bed. "So what did I miss?"

Jack sat beside Isabel, hip pressed against hers, still holding her hand.

If he was hanging onto her, she couldn't leave.

"I was a girl yesterday," he offered with a smile.

"Tell me there's pictures," she laughed, squeezing his hand. "I bet your were gorgeous."

"Nope, no pictures, but I was gorgeous," he said, so happy to hear her laugh. "You can ask Parker. She said I looked like a model."

After Jack and Parker left, Isabel left her door open and sat on the bed, enjoying the familiar sounds from the hall. Spotting her phone on her desk, she listened to her messages, wincing at the handwavey frantic calls from her parents. But one message made her smile and dial a number.

After getting the message from Parker, Cedric walked down the hall and slowly peeked his head around the door frame, not quite sure if he believed it.

Isabel heard a noise in the hall, looked up, and smiled. "Xander I need to go. I'll stop soon okay?" She listened to his answer. "Yes. Bye."

"Hi."

"Are you real?" Hey, it was a valid question in this town.

Peter was beginning to worry about this flood thing. On the off-chance that things got really bad and some of Isabel's stuff was left behind and got damaged, Peter decided to head up and see if there was anything able to be damaged. You know, just in case Isabel returned.

Imagine his surprise...

"I'm not disappointed that you're back by any stretch of the imagination, but you have to quit faking me out like this," he said when he entered the room.

Isabel had to take a minute to remind herself that this was real and not another one of Kivar's mind games. "Hi Peter," she said, getting to her feet. "I just got back this morning."

"Good, because I'd hate to find out that you were around for longer and just didn't call," Peter said, walking over and reaching for a hug. "Um, probably should have checked this first, but is everything okay?"

She returned the hug, trying to think of an answer that wouldn't result in a bunch of questions she wasn't ready to answer. "It's okay. Really." Okay, so lying was one way to do it.
