Behind the Meerkat Cabin, late morning through lunch

Isabel didn't get to bed till late and didn't get to sleep until even later. She was too busy replaying the evening in her mind and smiling at the memory. Thursdays were workshop free, so she slept in late and then brought her blanket out to lie in shade of the trees behind the Meerkat cabin. The jug of iced tea is cold, her book is incredibly

Cedric doesn't have a workshop till later so, again, he's enjoying the day.

Seeing Isabel, he smiles and waves. "Isabel, hello. I haven't seen you in awhile."

Isabel looked up from her book and grinned. "Hi Cedric! I know. Have you been hiding?"

"Not really," he replies. "I've been staying mostly to my cabin and workshops. Seahorse cabin, you know. Why leave it?"

He grins sheepishly.

[izzyalienqueen]

"You've got a point there," she agreed. "And if the radio is to be believed, you're having a lot of fun. I saw Dean on Tuesday in Archery. He was still recovering from Monday night." Isabel sat up and put the book aside and waved at the extra space on the blanket. "You can have a seat if you'd like."

Xander, who.....miiiiight have just woken up, since all of his mornings were workshop-free, spotted Isabel and waved, grinning as he walked over.

"Hey roomie!" He pointed at her accusingly, except still grinning, so not exactly fearsome there. "You had a date."

Isabel tried to look innocent, even mildly shocked. It effect was utterly ruined by the bright smile plastered across her face. "I did."

"With a Stickbug, even. Have your fellow Meerkats disowned you? 'Cause we've got an extra bed in Flamingo if you need one."

"No, there's precedent. Remember Aeryn's in our cabin and John's a Stickbug," she laughed. "Although I do appreciate the offer and I will keep it in mind. So how's your workshop going?"

Dawn plopped down on the grass with her own jug of lemonade, but no book, since if she started reading, she'd forget about her workshop. "Hey, Isabel. So? How'd it goooooo?"

Isabel smiled. Brightly. "It went very, very well. We had a picnic down on the beach."

Dawn squealed. "Ooh! He gets big romance points for that." She bounced a little. "Did you have fun? What did you talk about?"

"Big points," Isabel agreed. "Especially for the candle and pretty colored flame." She took a sip of tea as she thought back over the conversation. "Everything really, workshops, cheerleading, creepy guy. It was really, really nice."

After Wilderness Survival, and changing out of her boots, Parker wandered by Meerkat, and grinned when she saw Isabel. "Hey. How goes it?"

Isabel stretched her arms over her head and smiled. "It goes quite well thank you."

Parker chuckled and sat down next to her, poking one finger at the book. "Any particular reason why? That you'd like to share?"

"Because you were right." Isabel reached for the thermos and poured Parker a cup of iced tea. "He does have soft lips," she said quietly.

Funny how Greg happened to be walking by when no one else was there zomg. Totally a coincidence. Yes.

Though there was a gnome clinging to his leg.

"Hi," he said brightly when he spotted Isabel.

"Hi yourself!" Isabel smiled as she put her book aside. She couldn't help herself and laughed when she saw the gnome. "Did you find a friend? Did he get lost on his way to the theme park?"

"I blame you and the other Meerkats," Greg said, rolling his eyes. "I woke up with this thing in bed with me. We all did."

"Us? Why would we do something like that? How even?" Isabel smiled, "Besides, I couldn't have done it. I was out late and then went right to bed when I got home." She patted the blanket next to her in invitation and then, eyes sparkling, asked, "So was he cuddly?"
