Room 406, all day

It hadn't been a bad last week in Fandom. Between being social, seals, presents, and reality TV, it was certainly memorable. Even if the good-byes weren't so much fun.

There wasn't much left to pack. But Isabel was taking her time doing it.

The door was open.

Yeah, like he was gonna miss saying goodbye to Isabel. Especially since he actually *had* come pretty close to missing her, if SPD had seen fit to keep him and Z around for just one more day. But they hadn't, and so he was here.

"Hey, you," he says with a small smile.

"You're back!" Which is stating the obvious since a) she listened to radio and b) he's standing there.

"I'd been worried I was going to miss you."

"Me too," Bridge admits. And then there's moving in for hugging, because Isabel-hugs have suddenly become a limited time offer and he feels like maximising on it.

"Oh come on," Isabel said as she hugged him back, even though she completely understood the feeling. "I have a phone. And a boyfriend that orbs. It's not like you're never going to see me again. There's a wedding to plan."

Suddenly at some point in the afternoon, standing in the doorway there was an Anders, and a huge box of cupcakes in his hands, and the same pouty, stubborn expression that he wore every time he had to do this goodbye thing.

"No pouting," Isabel told him. "You're going to come to visit me in Vegas and I'll be in Neptune for your first game."

"Don't care," Anders said stubbornly. "I'm -- what the frak is the phrase? Morally opposed to this whole goodbyes thing."

"Yeah, they suck," she admitted. "But after saying goodbye last year? Thinking it was for good? This isn't so bad."

Lana stopped in to say goodbye. "I hate to see you go," she said quietly. "Seems like every day more and more people are gone."

"It's time," Isabel said. "Even if it means missing the rest of the world tour."

Lana grinned. "Yes, who knows where we'll end up next."

[izzyalienqueen]

"You'll have to let me know. And send postcards," she smiled. "And pictures of whatever wee critter invades because you know that'll happen."

Ino, having managed to convince Liir-kitty that yes, he had to stay in her room while she left it, and no he would not pine without further cuddles, poked her head around the door.

"...the dish on Michael and I?" That totally counted as hello, right?

Isabel shrugged and closed the drawer she'd been rooting through. "Big sister prerogative. I get to be nosy."

"...what did he say?" Ino asked artlessly, leaning on the doorframe.

"Nothing bad," she answered. "He's happy."

Meg did her best to not look completely miserable about Isabel leaving. So instead of frowning, there was pouting. Which was much better. Really.

"Hey."

[izzyalienqueen]

"Hey yourself," Isabel smiled, unable to not be amused at the pouting. It was such a strange look for Meg.

"You might trip over that lip."

"Don't make fun of my poutiness," Meg said, cracking a little smile. "I'm upset."

She sighed, a little bit of the happy face fading. "Yeah, good-byes suck. But I'm only going to school this time. Not another planet. So it put things in perspective."
