OK, I have been incredibly passive since signing up to lj nearly a year ago, happily reading other people's contributions but posting nothing of my own. Since I was tagged for this by arnie1967, I thought "what the heck. Let's see if I can get this to work." So, here goes. Ten things that have made me happy recently ( Read more... )

Wll, hey there, Izzie! 'Bout time you showed your face around the place- and I like what you showed up with!

Yay you for the zine fic - and I'll be even more thrilled if it means some knd of dam has burst and there's more on the way now. In whichever fandom:)) And as for The Sentinel, I will if you will. I've tentatively started smth and it might be fun to hold hands and take the leap together. ( I think we're destined to follow each other in and out of the same fadnoms, so best not to fight it, eh?)

And any time you want to squee about West Wing? I'm your gal. I have all 7 seasons on DVD and I love it. I think S1 is the one I've rewatched the most.

Anyway, thanks for all this and now that you're here, Iz, just STAY HERE, okay??*g*

Yey! I'm waiting for the rest of the West Wing dvds to arrive even as I type.

You know that vague idea we had of writing something together? Maybe we should try out a joint Sentinel fic? Might be interesting!

Hey, I could say the same for you!

As for fanfic, I think it kept me sane last year. Now I'm just hooked...

"...Thinking about trying to write in TS"

::tempts tempts tempts::

I could be so cliche and say, you know, "Come on in, my [um] brother [searches for Blair's glasses and points out that he's not talking to Jim at this particular moment], the water's fine."

:-)

Non fannish-note -- I wish I had the kind of voice that would let me sing in a really good choir or chorus; I did just a little of that (and not very well) when I was young, and it was amazing... ::envies you your choir::

envies you your choir - it is lovely (although very hard work at times) and the most fantastic stress reliever. You can have had a really rotten day, & not in the least feel like turning out for a 2 hour rehearsal, but having to focus so hard on something very different from work etc definitely helps put things in perspective.

I appreciate the tempting quote - I'm getting that much nearer to dipping my toe in the water. You just might regret it :)

Oh, yes, I do so agree about turning out for rehearsal feeling weary and finding that the music lifts you! Three of us car share to my choir and we all find that same thing ( ... )

Nope, I know I won't regret it!

And Jim-n-Blair are just so... mmm... to write about. And the TS community on LJ is terrific -- lots of inspiration for writing (if the boys themselves aren't enough :-)). ::smiles at you winningly::
