Bono's Woes.

Believe it or not, Ewan was not the first wee gent for which I fell ass-over-tea kettle.  That honor belongs to dear Bono, and to this day he occupies a vast and special place in my heart.

As you might've read, poor Bono seriously hurt his back over the weekend and was rushed into emergency surgery.  Disk compression pressed deeply into his sciatic ( Read more... )

McGuinness said rubbish and threatened to tie him to his bed.

Gosh, that would be awful.

*snicker*

Seriously, I feel so bad for him. I hope his recovery is swift! Poor thing isn't as young and spry as he used to be....

Yeah, age is starting to catch up with him. Though in the last few years he's been making a real effort to get healthy - he quit smoking, starting jogging (and Bono engaged in the mundane act of jogging is *snicker* an amusing sight. Whitest legs ever, hehe.)

Ali's very protective and no-nonsense with him; hopefully she'll keep him in check. ;)

Oh my that is terrible.

My best wshes for a complete recovery go out to Bono.

It's hard to keep such an active man down, but it will be for his own good to take it easy, and do what the doctor's advise him to do.

He definitely needs to take it easy. We want many, many more years of Bono in the world!

He is a marvel. A groggy and laid-up marvel at the moment, but one nonetheless. ;)

That's frightening! Did the paralysis go away? *is worried* I hope he recovers fully, very quickly.

Old(er) age sucks the big one!

Yeah, the doctor's said his "motor deficit would resolve" so he should be good. He also had an 8mm tear in one of the ligaments down there - he was entirely jacked up.

Years ago he was sent to a heart specialist because of an abnormal lump on his heart. Turned out to be nothing - the doc called it an "eccentric heart" and Bono replied "Well I knew that already." *sigh* I love him.

He's getting the best of care. He sure is an inspiring person, who lives his life large.

He's been living life at a fast pace for so long, he deserves (and clearly needs) some time for his body to recover. :)
