About a year ago I decided to start making an 18th century costume. It's been VERY slow going, and i'v had a few setbacks, but I decided to finally post pictures of the parts I DO have done.

Hi! i followed you from the costuming or corsetting community,and I'm glad I did because that green fabric is gorgeous! Please post pics of those shoes your friend found for you, or at least WHERE she got them from!
Anyhow, everything is looking so good! What kind of serger do you have? the serged seam edges on your corset panels look great?
And do you mean renaissancefabrics.NET? I can't seem to connect to any website using the .COM......?

She found the shoes at crossroads, so what store they originally came from is unknown. The label on the inside says "flings" but thats about it.

Oh lord those are to DIE for!
I love Crossroads, I miss Cali :(

I'm in the market for buying a Serger, so if you have any pros and cons for the model you have I would love to hear them! We had Jukis at the school I used to go to and so far am impresse with their longevity and how sturdy they are, but want to know more before I drop a large amount of money on something that should hopefully last a VERY long time.

I really love crossroads. I live right next to one and I find amazing shoes there all the time. These shoes only cost me $2.40 once I traded in an old poncho ( ... )
