I'm glad you like it! Using the Organdy could have been a little hit or miss, but I liked how it adds feminine lightness after the heavy corded petticoat.

Ginormous petticoats!! Bet you could use them for 1850s too, if you ever wanted to...

That was my hope, who knows when I will finally get around to making a proper hoop. Also, I am running out of storage space!

Oh, it came out pretty! I'm only on row 4 of my corded petticoat, and since I'm leaving on a cruise next week, I'm not going to have it done in time for the event I wanted it for. :(
And I still need my top petticoat too. Yikes!
Good buy on the fichu! Little booboos on them don't bother me either.

Is that the march? Do you mind messaging me the info for that? I'd like to make it down if my work schedule allows. Have fun on your cruise! Any part of the petticoats you could possibly take with you, for a little handsewing?

Ebay is a surprisingly good place to get antiques!

Not sure what "march" you're referring to. The Dia de los Muertos Candlelight Procession is what I'm wearing it to.

Here's the info:

When: Nov 1----7pm
Where: corner of Harney St & San Diego Ave (Whaley House, 2476 San Diego Ave, Old Town San Diego)
Wear your mourning costume, skull face/calaveras (or not) and bring an electric candle lamp or candle in a jar to light the way.
I've been asked to lead the SDCG at the front of the procession again this year.
The Procession starts at 7pm. But we can meet early around 6pm in front of the Cosmopolitan Hotel to do our own procession around the park prior to meeting across the street @ Harney & San Diego Ave.

I'll be out of the country starting on Monday, Oct 10. No guarantees if I'll have the internet.
