Thanks! Most weeks I don't get so much work, but it will work out great in the end because I will have less work come finals (one class ends early, so the work is front-loaded)

I actually got much farther on the corset than I thought, all the sewing is done! All it needs now is boning, grommets and the binding/lace put on. I should be done by next week if the flossing doesn't take forever.

Oooh really pretty corset. I've started working on one that I will hopefully be able to wear to work if I don't make it too stiff. Really looking forward to seeing the finished restult with yours.

Thank you, as pretty as it is I will be happy when it is done. I don't think I have had a corset fight me so badly to be made in a while. It is disheartening.

Is the style you are making similar? My spoonbusk is making me crazy.

Ugh I hate it when that happens. As of now mine is nothing more than an altered pattern from Past Pattersn. I believe it's their earlier 19th century pattern (up to about 1860). Since mine would be for work I've got to figure a reasonable way to be able to use it and dress myself and still lift boxes around.

Why would it effect your ability to lift boxes? Does the corset have straps?
