These are great! I really can't wait to see how the 1840s dress turns out... looks like it will be fab. Good luck getting into the program! :)

I am glad you like the design :) I am really in love with that fabric (surprisingly only anachronistic by about 10 years!) The idea for the trim came from a 1830's taffeta day gown. After the regency dress I made a while ago I am really over ruffles! :)

I was just trying to remember that myself... I think it was Moe. I don't remember if he was a crow or a raven, but I do remember his fondness for eyeballs.

He was definitely a crow, I would not have passed up the opportunity of such a silly name as Moe the Crow :)
The fondness for eyeballs I think was Scree's Idea?
