It really really is :) Striped taffeta is my favorite poison.
I got an e-mail about a corded petticoat class coming up in my area. Having made one recently, do you think you would have invested in a class, or gone solo as you did? Either way I guess that means I should cut out the corset soon, I am going to post mock-up pictures later.
Oh yes, striped taffeta is definitely one of my weaknesses! Actually, striped fabric in general...and this is why my fabric Stash is exploding!
Hmmm, a corded petticoat class...definitely sounds interesting! I'd be interested to see how someone else goes about making one. Though, I will say, a corded petticoat isn't one of those things you need a class for, per se... (Step 1: Sew cords into petticoat. Step 2: Put waistband on petticoat. Step 3: Wear petticoat.) ;)
That is kind of what I thought Steps wise, I just know If I take a class I will get it done much more quickly than on my own. It's also only $40 provided I can get a ride ($40 including fabric if I read the brochure properly)
They said they use striped ticking to save time measuring for the cording channels, brilliant!
I'd heard one time that it was common for a fiance to give his betrothed a busk that he had decorated and signed. When I got mine, I had my hubby write his name on it, and planned to wood burn his name on it. Sadly I haven't done that yet, but at least it's signed.

If anyone asks me about commissions should I send them your way, or are you pretty well swamped with Thesis for a while?
