The dress is a mannequin size 8 (bust 34", waist 26", hips 36") That is not super small (most models are a 4) but the particular mannequins at my school are proportioned like 16 year old girls, it's ridiculous.

It's fairly typical for schools to require all projects to be a size 8. Personally I think it is a little silly to hold up that requirement for this project. Most of the women who will be bidding are most likely around a 10-12. I mean, how many 40 year old women do you know who are proportioned like a 16 year old even if they are slim? I purposely made my dress a little looser on the form. The size requirement is ridiculous, I don't even fit and 8, and i'm not big at all.

I am planning to take pictures of the jacket mock-up on a form tomorrow. Here's hoping I don't have twin alien babys!
