3 fic reccs: Numb3rs

Oct 26, 2005 22:47

All right. I've been enjoying this show as it edges into its second season, and have therefore been trying to find good gen fics. The annoying thing about a fandom that centers around 2 brothers is the kind of stuff the slashers come up with. *puking face* Also (though I admit that Charlie is an incredibly easy mark for angst), a lot of the fic ( Read more... )

You know, that's just mean. Giving me these clips from these fics when you know--you KNOW--two things about me: 1) I don't make a habit of reading fic for a show still in first run; and 2) I'm making my way through the HP books (I've got a wonderfully sweet story about how I received the 4th book. Drop me an e-mail). Just what the heck are you thinking, tempting me like that? Evil, I say. Eeeeeeeevil.

Like I don't have enough reading to catch up on. Sheesh.

Bwahahahaha.

I live to serve. *evil, evil grin*

Actually, it took me so much effort to find these fics, I figured I'd save any other fans (like mistraltoes) the trouble and link them all at once.

You needn't read them just yet. I'll still have the link when the show goes off the air. *smirk*

Will certainly email you! Yay for HP--I must know how you liked the end of book 3.

The links for the last two don't work. Do you have other links?

When I remember, I watch it.

Unfortunately, we started watching season 3 of 24 and in comparison, NUMB3RS falls flat.

Either way, I'm not watching either until NaNo is over. I'm writing an SF thriller and those sap my will because the writing is so tense and that's the mood I have to convey. However, how it's done on a screen and how it's done in words are different and I have to keep reminding myself of that.

I've never read any Numb3rs fic before, but these are tempting...

I'm enjoying the second season too, but I'm irritated that Don's partner (and semi-love interest) moved to DC. I liked her character. *grumbles*

I know you! I read your LJ when I'm surfing synaesthete7's flist. Yay for another Numb3rs fan!

I miss Terry too, though to be fair I already admired Diane Farr (Megan, the replacement) as an actress, so I was predisposed to like her. And frankly, as long as Charlie, Don, and Alan (hmm, and Larry too, we must have Larry so we can get those lovely scenes about why children are like wormholes, etc) are still on the show and in character, I'm happy.

BTW, both Skewed and Hearing Voices feature Terry in decently large roles. For pure style, I like Go-Cart Charlie best, but it's not as nice and plotty as the other two.

Go. Read. :-)
