Snagged from kerravonsen:

If I made Cinderella, the audience would immediately be looking for a body in the coach.
- Alfred Hitchcock

When I write a story, what do readers immediately look for?

Friendship, family (whether that be family-by-blood or family-by-choice) and thoughtfulness.

Our fandoms kind of diverged awhile back, but I remember depth of character, careful detail, and when appropriate, a more spiritual dimension (that Book fic, is the one I'm thinking of in particular) that I appreciated.

I'm pleased, especially about your observation on the spiritual dimension "when appropriate." *preens*

Characterization and the insights into them. That's a major reason why I read any fanfic, but it seems to be a major theme with yours, where you can explore the inner workings of characters simply through their words and actions.

Ah! That's a major reason I read (and write) fic, so I'm glad that you can see that in my work. :)
