White Collar, "As You Were"

Jul 26, 2011 19:47

Okay, White Collar just leaped from the category "shows I like to watch," to "shows I ADORE."

In the space of about 30 seconds.

(Now I need a good icon, but I can't find one...)

reviews, tv, white collar

Ooh, what did you like about it? I was knitting while I watched it, so I expect I missed most of the subtleties of the episode. I assume you're talking about the ending?

Yessss, the ending! With Neal making a choice I totally did not see coming! Small, in terms of the action; HUGE, in terms of what that choice means for Neal. I mean... I doubt he's ever done anything like that before. (Not lying, he does that all the time, but lie to Mozzie about a shared job. I mean... NEAL.)

LJ, are you back for real? I have tried to reply to this comment a bunch of times, only to have it eaten. :/

I agree! Lying to Mozzie is big--Mozzie's been his best friend and partner in crime for so long. It's funny how it was the little things that got to Neal in the end--he's been reminded so many times of what he has, but what really got through to him were Peter calling to check in and that photo in the vault. I was all set to like Neal a lot less when he broke into their house, but then he had his big revelation!

Heh, yeah, that was me. I keep forgetting to log in, dangit.

Just watched the black widow episode where Peter has to get engaged to the suspect. So many flappy hands of hilarity. Two of my favorite OTPs being awesome on my TV at the same time: Peter and El being the Awesome Married People Who Are Always Awesome and Neal and Sara being the OTP That I Ship Simply Because It's So Dang Hot.

This show makes me happier than any other show, I think. Doctor Who comes close, but White Collar has the advantage of never having Dalek episodes. Not that I wouldn't totally watch that crossover, mind you.
