I do write OCs--it's a bit hard not to, if you write anything lengthy or anything not set directly within episodes or confined to certain parts of the world of whatever fandom.

*snerk* Just out of curiosity I decided to do the Mary Sue Litmus test for a character I happen to know is a "MarySue" in the old sense of being an author avatar, and she just barely got 25 on the scale.

This is an interesting set of questions, but I'd so fail at answering them.

Oh, yes, I also use the litmus test just for the lolz. It helps me not take my characters quite so seriously, thinking, "but they could have rainbow hair, i'm glad i didn't do that...." Hee.

The one real author avatar I put through there scored right up in the 60s, so.... Heh.
