I know most of you have already seen it. This is not a review, just a couple points I would like to make to those who have not seen the movie yet

Yup, pretty much sums up my reaction too. We're now trying to figure out the logistics of a second viewing.

I was particularly surprised by how well Spock/Uhura worked.

That's excellent news. I've been curious about Abrams' reboot since it was announced - and judging by the flood of positive reviews, it seems like he handled everything just the right way. I'm hoping to see it one night next week, if the people I'm going with will make up their minds about when we're going. *sighs*

I had a blast, too. And I haven't been this excited about Trek since Next Gen, so you know that's been a while.

I'm glad this film is leaving such an impression. It's a good feeling to have the franchise back on its feet. Or at least I hope I'll be saying that when the box office report comes out tomorrow. Then there's next week...
