Miami Vice/Homicide: Life on the Street crossover I will never write

Okay, sharing the weird currents of my fannish brain with you all again.

As most of you know, I've gotten hooked on Miami Vice and Homicide: Life on the Street this summer. The Sleuth Channel reruns about an episode per day of both shows, so I've been watching a LOT

Just went to imdb to look up the time difference on the shows. And ya know? That could be interesting . . .

Yes, the crossover bug is quite invasive, isn't it. Heh.

If you get a chance, you should probably check out Hill Street Blues, too. I never watched it but it was extremely popular and highly acclaimed by the critics back in its day.

Also, Cagney and Lacey, which was one of my aunt's faves.

Yeah, the time difference could totally make it work in terms of plot, especially with what little I already know of the ending of Miami Vice.

I believe they just started releasing Cagney and Lacey on DVD; I've been waiting for it, because it sounds like just my sort of show.
