Hello, friendslist!

Nov 26, 2007 09:25

I spent Thanksgiving Day here in L.A., with friends (including ladybrick yay!)--eating and drinking and ignoring (for my part) the football-watching going on at the other end of the room, and acting like the geek I am (well, pretty much everyone there was a geek of some variety, so I was in good company).

My weekend after that: )

los angeles, real life, migraines, gratitude, family

I dunno--I was on a Ray Bradbury kick in high school, and then kinda dropped him. At that time, I wasn't into anything that looked like horror; it didn't scare me, but I was very easily squicked at the time. I couldn't have watched SPN back then, no way, or even tried to read Stephen King.

But wow, this is a perfect time in my reading/watching to take in this story. I'm really enjoying it (didn't quite finish listening on the way home, so that's my commute for the next week or so).

Imagining your brothers as Sam & Dean makes me giggle, but somehow, knowing you, it makes a strange sense. I have no idea why.

If it comes to you, let me know. *giggle*

T is Dean, in the manly bravado/rock music/"look at me, I'm awesome"/physically tough/joie de vivre kind of way. And W is so much more like Sam, with the geeky/smart/snarky/passive-aggressiveness. And they call each other names and randomly pound on each other (as most loving brothers do), and I could barely stop giggling long enough to tell them that they need to watch SPN.

I had fun too :D

Something Wicked was summer reading for the worst English class I ever had, so I have a bit of a bias against it, sadly :(
