Yeah, poor Jack. I didn't even realize what was going to happen in this fic till he simply wouldn't leave... "Fire and Water" kind of made an impression in my fannish brain, I guess.

I've never followed Stargate, but I can recognise quality when I see it - that is good. :)

Oh, thank you! :-) That makes me very happy, since half the effectiveness of this ficlet (I thought) should be in its referencing a first-season episode.

*wince* Yep, I asked for it. Excellently written, though.

All the times Jack's had his team members die and come back together, collectively or individually? Yeah, some part of him is never going to believe it this time.

As much affection as I have for the New SG-1, I really miss version 1.0.

(Your icon made me giggle and wince at once--imagining Sam reading her own deathfic.)

And word about version 1.0; I like Cam, and Vala + Daniel = great amusement; but I always reach the end of a New SG-1 episode missing Jack, and the old dynamic. I'm sure that's why this fic had to be with them--it wouldn't mean enough to the others (sorry, Cam, it's true).
