Kagome growled as she stepped out of the well house. She had another fight with Inuyasha about leaving his era so she could see the annual ‘Omagari National Fireworks Competition.’  She explained to him how important it was to her, and ending up sitting him a few times while she made her escape.

Running inside the house, she quickly threw off her dirty uniform tossing it carelessly on the floor along with her other garments. Quickly, she jumped in the shower, she knew it would be dark soon and grumbled about a certain temperamental hanyo making her late, while scrubbing her hair.

Finished with her shower she began blow drying her hair. She then picked out a white kimono with periwinkle stripes and fuchsia flowers decorating it. Pleased with herself, she stepped outside and realised that it took her longer than expected. It was already dark outside and the fireworks had already begun their vibrant display of colors that brightened the evening sky. She growled in frustration, Inuyasha was going to pay for making her late. However, she never expected him to be standing outside with a large grin plastered on his handsome face.

‘He came….’

“I can’t believe you are here Inuyasha,” Kagome said excitedly as she ran up to him embracing him. She never thought that he would show up especially, with all the ‘sits’ he had endured.

“I know how important this was for you…Kagome, and I am sorry I was such a jerk before.” He said staring into her hazel eyes that were filled with love, forgiveness, and admiration. Wrapping his arms around her, he felt her lean into his embrace, while her small hand now rested on his chest. She looked stunning, and nothing around them mattered except her.

‘I need you Kagome….’

Without thinking he leaned forward and tenderly brushed his lips against hers in a tender, loving kiss as the vibrant fireworks display continued off in the distance.
