I look at you and press the dampened cloth to my bleeding forehead. You chide me gently; I banish your love-filled words to a place of no return (but, I want it to return, so much…).

“Why weren’t you here, Hana-san?” I demand instead, hiding the broken trust behind words of ice. I expect you to flinch, but instead, your smile melted my anger.

I love the way you experiment with language and point of view.
I confess I did have to ask who the second character was, but now that I know it's a nurse, I can comment responsibly about how much I enjoy the tone and pov.
